Growing activity at Iraqi stock market

The executive manger of the Iraqi stock market, Taha Ahmad Abedelsalaam has affirmed that the market has achieved high exchange volumes during its eight month operation.

 

In a seminar concerning the performance of the stock market, Abedelsalaam disclosed that currently there is trade in stocks of 85 companies, which boast 151 billion shares.

 

Concerning the positive results during the last six months, he said, according to al Sabah, that until December 31st, 2004 there were 80 joint stock companies.
