A source at the department of post and telecommunications in Kirkuk province announced that an exchange with a capacity of 3,000 lines was repaired and put to work in Alasakri quarter.

 

He added, according to Alahalin newspaper, that the department plans to repair and replace many switchboards in other locations.

 

In a related development, the general company for telecommunication and post finished its maintenance work and reinstatement of many phone lines at “Kar” province.

 

In Dyali province, a new switchboard (Samsung 2002) with a capacity of 3,000 lines was operated. A spokesman at the province said that the plan is to include all citizens of the province connected to the telephone services.
