US$70 million for Najaf projects

The Deputy Governor of Najaf has said that the Supreme Council for the Reconstruction of Iraq has approved the spending of US$70 million for the repair and construction of main and trunk roads in the province. The Deputy Governor said tourism will also be reactivated in Najaf, and a delegation from the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs is soon to visit Iran for talks on the issue, adding that the reactivation will start with an initial 1,500 tourists, rising gradually.
