Iraqi singer Majed Al Muhandis, who sings somber tunes in the Iraqi dialect, is working on a new release. majid

Majed said that he is in Cairo preparing for his new album that includes a variety of styles.  He will be working with a number of new poets and composers like Faieq Hasan, Mansour Al Shadi, Prince Saud Bin Abdullah and Nisreen Bint Muhammad.

According to the London daily Elaph, Majed says that he is a “worrier,” because every time he films a new clip, records a new song, or even before performing a concert, he becomes very worried. Majed said that he worries because he wants to achieve the best in his endeavors.

Working with ‘Rotana’ has eased his worries to some extent by providing him support.

Majed is close to his son Muhammad and he does not allow his career to have any effect on their relationship and their time together. He tries his best to make sure his son leads a normal life with the chance to develop his own personality.

Majed usually allows a year and a half between projects to foster the creative process. He will be working with the Kuwaiti actor Dawood Hussein on his next Ramadan project.  He will perform the opening song for a new entertainment show.
