Six Iraqis die as US forces detain Iranian-trained bomb expert
Posted: 11-06-2008 , 10:35 GMT

iraq blastIraqi police said a roadside bomb had killed five people riding minibuses in Baghdad. An officer told the AP the bomb went off near a bridge in the mostly Shiite Hurriyah neighborhood around 10 a.m. Wednesday. According to him, a woman and 7-year-old boy were among the dead, and at least 10 other people are wounded.

Meanwhile, police said two mortar rounds hit a busy street in the central Baghdad area of Karrada, killing a civilian and wounding five others.

In another development, the U.S. military said it had captured an Iranian-trained bomb expert southeast of Baghdad. A military statement conveyed the man is believed to have traveled to Iran several times for explosives training, and has many Iranian contacts who help him smuggle weapons and bomb-making materials into Iraq.

It said American forces, acting on intelligence, raided the man's house Wednesday and subdued him without firing any shots.

Cowards? We're the only country that defends other peoples regardless of their religion, power, or ethnicity. Cowards? Iran's government and it's backers are the cowards. The scum that support them, question the obvious, and are never satisfied. War mongers are made by those who declare rightousness through slanted views and ignorance. The critics are people that would gladly ask us to defend them by allowing us to fight while they hold our coat. The U.S. is, and always will be the best country. All those who bash our great country, ask yourself what kind of government do you serve. If you're honest you'll be humble, and choose your words more carefully.

This isn't a joke, nor do our people or your own think that it is.They are stirring nothing. If the u.s. wanted to invade Iran, they would. We want peace as much as you do. What happens when we leave Iraq? You must begin to defend yourself against the lawless types. Once the troops leave, the U.S.people will not let the troops return to save you.We are as tired of this as you.We are tired of spending our resources on the ungrateful.Allah save you,for you do nothing for yourself. Peace to all.....

Not too happy with fellow Americans who blindly support destabilization, destruction and the DELIBERATE escallation of conflict, in the name of protecting liberty. Both sides need to understand that their own governments are their own worst nightmares. A little clarity and common sense, Please, PLEASE!
