iraq blastA bicycle loaded with explosives killed five people and injured 37 at a popular market on Sunday in the town of Mussayab, south of Baghdad, police said. According to Reuters, the explosives were stored in a water cooler attached to the bicycle, and women and children were among the victims.

 

In the city of Ramadi, there were reports on two suicide bombings, AFP said. One of the attackers detonated a car bomb at the city's western entrance, killing two people and injuring four others, according to police Colonel Jabbar Ajaj. Another suicide attacker blew himself up near a police station outside Ramadi, but killed only himself.
