Iraq's donor states plan new conference in Amman

Iraqi Planning Minister Mahdi Al-Hafez said in remarks published in Jordan Friday that donor states willing to help Iraq will meet in the kingdom at the end of next May. The Amman-based <i>Al-Rai</i> daily quoted Al-Hafez as saying the conference will urge donor states to honor their pledges made at the Madrid conference. He said Iraq has so far received US$ billion dollars from donor states.
