Ozomatli from the USA attended a press conference on July 24, 2007 at the Radisson SAS, in recognition for their talent and upcoming performance at the Jerash Festival of Culture and Arts. A large number of journalists attended the press conference, as they engaged the band with various questions regarding their participation at the Jerash Festival of Culture and Arts 2007 Silver Jubilee.

Ozomatli will be performing on Thursday July 26th, 2007 at the Jerash Southern Amphitheater. Ozomatli will also be holding another performance in Aqaba City on Friday July 27th, 2007. The band is visiting Jordan as a part of a regional tour featuring shows at the Al Azhar Park in Cairo, Egypt and Carthage Festival in Tunisia.

Ozomatli, formed in 1995, is a multiethnic nine piece band from Los Angeles, playing primarily Latino, hip hop, funk and rock. Their talent has won them multiple Grammy Awards, Latin Grammies, and many other musical awards.  They have also written and performed the music for many popular TV shows and movies. Ozomatli have toured extensively around the world, performing in the UK, Holland, Germany, Denmark, France, Turkey, Australia, Japan, Mexico, India, Nepal and United States.

Ozomatli described their music by stating, “You drive down Sunset Boulevard and turn off your stereo and roll down your windows and all the music that comes out of each and every different car, whether it's salsa, cumbia, meringue, or hip hop, funk or whatever, it's that crazy blend that's going on between that cacophony of sound that is Ozomatli.”
