Posted: 13-01-2009 , 09:39 GMT

jordanJordan dismissed on Tuesday a report by the Israeli army that its troops at a border crossing had come under fire from the kingdom. "A military source in the General Command of the Jordanian armed forces denied ... that shots had been fired from the Jordanian side on the Western border, affirming that there is no truth to this information," the Petra news agency said.

Earlier, the Israeli army stated Israeli soldiers had come under fire from Jordan, but no one was hurt in the incident.
