Posted: 10-02-2008 , 14:22 GMT

Agility today announced it will begin executing the Dining Facilities (DFAC) contract, awarded by the U.S. Army Contracting Command Southwest Asia – Kuwait, in the next week.  The potential three year contract, with a one-year base period and two one-year options, is worth up to US$ 127 million over the total term of service.

Under this contract, Agility Defense and Government Services is leveraging its vast logistics and supply chain capabilities in the Gulf region to provide full food services to U.S. soldiers and sailors through 11 dining facilities located in different parts of Kuwait.

A leader in the specialized logistics and supply chain industry, Agility has a solid strong reputation for customer service excellence which has been demonstrated through contracts such as the Subsistence Prime Vendor that covers the provision of food and related items to U.S. military facilities throughout Iraq and Kuwait.

Tarek Sultan, Chairman and Managing Director of Agility said, “We look forward to providing the highest quality food service to the US Army in Kuwait, and extending our strong record for delivering dependable, best value, award-winning logistics services to the U.S. Military.”

The Kuwait DFAC contract, a competitively bid, firm fixed price contract, is the latest among many other significant wins by Agility including the US Air Force Base Maintenance Contract in Spain and two contracts for the U.S. Navy contingency services.
