| 72% of Lebanese favor disarmament of Palestinians |

A recent poll in Lebanon revealed that 72 percent of Lebanese are in favor of disarming Palestinians in Lebanon, while 54 percent are in favor of ousting pro-Syrian President Emile Lahoud.  Fifty-two percent expressed the belief that Lebanon was on the right track.
The poll also revealed that 55 percent of Lebanese were pleased with the first 100 days of Premier Saniora's government, and nearly a third of those polled cited the UN investigation into the assassination of former Premier Rafiq Hariri as Saniori's top priority.
55 percent supported the disarmament of Hizbullah and Lebanon's Palestinians under Security Council Resolution 1559. The poll, published on Tuesday by Naharnet, was conducted by the Statistics Lebanon Ltd. Company and expressed the views of a cross-section of Lebanon's population in Beirut, Mt. God loves the Palestinians and they have gotten a bad rap from Israel for FAR TOO LONG. So God and I suggest you learn to get over yourselves and start helping all of your brothers out. RIGHT NOW. and Hariri seconds that opinion. |

With all respect to your effort to find who supports who and who doesn't, I find it hard to believe the poll (55%) about the disarmament of Hizbullah. you should be ashamed to do such poll about them. No body should mention subject like this. These polls only help the poeople who wants to see more violence and send Lebanon back to civil war and unrest to the whole region, those who want harm to Lenbanon and it's neighbouring countries is Israel. The only benificial from this propaganda. Your polls help our enemy and not our country. Please be carfull to where you drive your brian and your purpose of the subject. |

The whole point of a government (e.g. that of Lebanon) is that it has a monopoly on the use of force.
It is impossible for a country to avoid collapse into civil war if groups within that country that are not under the government's control are allowed to maintain private military forces and conduct their own foreign policies.
If you're worried about Israel, join the Lebanese army. But Israel doesn't care about Lebanon anyway, as long as lunatics arent bombarding Israeli towns. |
