The sultry Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi is once again under attack by the media. The Egyptian variety channel managed by Shafki Al Mineri is facing criticism by Egyptian newspapers for choosing Haifa to host a live concert broadcast by the channel on New Years. haifa
 
Several papers published articles asserting that an Egyptian singer should have been chosen instead of the “erotic: Lebanese star.   Although before the New Year many of the same publications lauded the decision.

 

Tickets were sold out for Haifa’s concert at one of Cairo’s five stars hotels.
 
According to the London daily Elaph, Haifa appeared on the cover of a number of Egyptian magazines this holiday season.

 

The singer will play the leading role in an Egyptian film produced by Muhammad Al Sakbi, her first film.

 

Directors are expecting Haifa to be a success, already competing for her to take part in their films.
