The famous Lebanese superstar Carole Samaha will sing a new duet with Gypsy Kings member Mario Reyes.
According to the London daily Elaph, the new duet, called “Laili Lail” (My Night) is a mix between Spanish and Arabic music, and will be released within the next few weeks as a solo single. Carole chose the song from a list of four that were offered to her.
The music managers for the international artist Mario Reyes traveled to Beirut to search for an Arab artist with suitable characteristics and selected Carole, because she was seen as an Arab artist with a western image.
There were a number of meetings between Mario Reye’s manager and Carole’s manager Mario Asta and they decided to film a video clip for the new duet in Morocco. The clip will be directed by Colombian director Simon Brand who has previously worked with western artists like Shakira, Ricky Martin, Jessica Simpson, and Thalia.
The new duet will be produced by the Latino production company ‘Uno Production.’
