The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) office in the Middle East and Northern Africa announced that the famous Lebanese artist Nancy Ajram was hired as a Goodwill Ambassador. nancy

In a press conference that was held in the “Jefynoor-Rotana” hotel in Beirut last month, Nancy said “she always had interest in UNICEF’s work and that it is an honor to get the chance to work with the people at UNICEF.” Nancy adds “being a young mother to a little girl, she has more sympathetic with mothers in the region.”

Nancy also points out that all the awards and the success she had already accomplished did not make her happy like she is right now after receiving her new title. She also sees being an ambassador for UNICEF as the most important event that happened to her in her entire life as a mother, artist and most of all as a human.

She also calls out for everyone to take the chance and to give a hand to kids that need help in the region. Nancy adds that there are kids in the northern and southern parts of Lebanon that suffer from hunger, lack of education and being poor especially females because the males are favored over them and getting at least better education.
