"The hills have eyes" in Ouarzazate and Marrakech
Posted: 12-05-2005 , 18:11 GMT

The Moroccan cities Ouarzazate and Marrakech were chosen to serve as the filming locations for the making of the American horror film, "The hills have eyes". The film's crew, which relies on a 15 million dollar budget, will be filming in Morocco from June 27 to August 15.

EMarrakech reports that the film, directed by young French director, Alexandre Aja (son of French director Alexandre Arcady), is actually a remake of the original classic horror movie, made in 1977 by the American director, Wes Craven.

The movie tells the story of a family going to California and accidentally goes through an Air Testing range closed to the public. They crash and are stranded in a desert. They are being stalked by a group of people, which have not emerged into modern times.
