Cogent Systems wins Morocco contract

Cogent Systems recently announced it has been awarded a contract for approximately $34 million to install its Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) for a national criminal and civil deployment supporting a national identification program in Morocco. The contract will consist of software and hardware, as well as services and maintenance which will extend beyond 2005. Cogent Systems

  It does my heart good to know we have an extra $34 million to donate to Cogent for a computerized national criminal identification system. On the other hand, if our children could afford school books, perhaps we wouldn't need a national criminal I.D. system. And if we did need it, maybe then our own people could develop it instead of some company in California.
