gaza car assassinationIsrael killed five Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in two separate air strikes Thursday. In the first strike, a Palestinian fighter and his wife were killed on Thursday in an Israeli strike on Gaza.  In this latest strike, Raad Abu Foull, 43, a commander in the Popular Resistance Committees militant group, was killed with his wife as they drove in the northern town of Beit Lahiya, medics said.

The Israeli military confirmed an air strike on a car transporting a "rocket-manufacturing cell" and reported hitting it.

Later Thursday, an Israeli strike on a car in northern Gaza Strip killed three Palestinians. The Israeli army confirmed the strike, saying it targeted a group of Palestinians responsible for firing rockets.

In the West Bank, Palestinian gunmen opened fire on a vehicle, moderately wounding an Israeli, who was rushed to hospital, Israeli medical services said.
