abbaswaveAn aide said the Palestinian president has successfully undergone an angioplasty at a Jordanian hospital. According to the AP, spokesman Nabil Abu Rdeneh conveyed Mahmoud Abbas underwent the procedure on Thursday and will return to the West Bank on Friday. According to him, a doctor recommended the procedure during a routine medical examination Thursday.

 

An angioplasty is a procedure to treat obstructed blood vessels, a cause of heart attack.
