Saudi Arabia to partake in international conference of parliament speakers

The Saudi Shoura (consultative) Council will participate in the 2nd international conference of speakers of parliaments due to be held in New York on September 7-9, 2005. The Shoura's delegation will be led by Dr Salih bin Saud Al-Ali, the Assistant Chairman of the Shoura. According to SPA, participants of the international parliamentary conference are scheduled to review a number of topics including the parliamentary dimensions of democracy.

 

The conference is held every five years with the participation of speakers of the parliaments of member states of the International Parliamentary Federation(IPF).
