sudan bashirSudan's President Omar al-Bashir, wanted for war crimes and crimes against humanity, has held talks with his Zimbabwan peer Robert Mugabe, state radio reported Sunday. Al Bashir was received at the airport by the Vice President of Zimbabwe, Sudan's ambassador to Zimbabwe, and leaders of the Sudanese community in the area.

 

According to the AP, Al-Bashir was attending a two-day Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa summit Zimbabwe was hosting in the northwestern resort town of Victoria Falls. At the summit in Zimbabwe, leaders from 19 countries were to consider aid and investment proposals for Zimbabwe, which is in economic crisis.

 

So far, Al-Bashir has made six trips abroad, to Arab and African nations, since his indictment in March.
