Third part of “Bab Al Harah” disappoints Syrians
Posted: 23-09-2008 , 04:05 GMT

Syrians were disappointed by the events on the third part of the Syrian drama series “Bab Al Harah” (Neighborhood Door) aired on the satellite channel MBC, according to a survey conducted by a German news agency.bab

Many viewers that participated in the survey thought the third part had lost its glow, unlike the second part, which was a great success last Ramadan season.
The series was written by Marwan Qawooq and directed by Basam Al Mala.
Other viewers said that previously the series did a better job of depicting the various Syrian traditions and customs that are performed. They also said that the performance of the actors had weakened.

Some viewers attributed the decline of the series to the absence of the famous Syrian actor Abas Al Nouri, who played “Abu Isam” in the previous two parts. There was a conflict between the director and Abas Al Nouri.
The third part started with the death of “Abu Isam,” disappointing many.
