| Emaar investment in India approved |

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, Government of India, has given its approval to Dubai-based property major Emaar to establish a joint venture operations in India. 
According to Khaleej Times, the Government clearance include permission to establish a joint venture company in India for the development of integrated township projects such as residential apartments, houses, villas, commercial premises, schools, hospitals, shopping malls, hotels, parks and other infrastructure facilities such as roads, bridges and mass transit systems.
