JC Maclean Hotelier Awards Recognize Le Meridien Abu Dhabi

Le Meridien Abu Dhabi F&B Manager, Taj Eddin Sultan, was one of three candidates in the region nominated for the prestigious JC Maclean Hotelier Award for F&B Manager of the Year 2005. Held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Dubai, the JC Maclean Hotelier Awards gathered over 300 hoteliers and industry experts from across the region. The awards are aimed at recognising excellence of the Middle East’s hospitality industry.

Since joining Le Meridien Abu Dhabi, Mr. Sultan has taken the hotel a step forward by taking the initiative to strengthen the deliverables of his department and implement a variety of development programs. He introduced a tailored training programme for new and existing staff; played an active role in the menu selection of the outlets; is heavily involved in the selection of the produce items the kitchens use; and enhanced the theme night concept throughout the hotel, including the introduction of the new “Meat at La Brasserie” which is held every Thursday night.

Mr. Sultan has been Le Meriden Abu Dhabi’s Food & Beverage Manager for three years, and is responsible for 120 F&B staff. Mr. Sultan holds a Hotel & Tourism Management diploma from the Centre International De Glion, Switzerland and is fluent in four languages - Arabic, English, French and German. His success is attributed to his 18 years of F&B and Sales experience. Mr. Sultan has worked in several hotel properties in the region - Le Meridien, Damascus; Sheraton, Abu Dhabi; and Intercontinental, Abu Dhabi.

Le Meridien Abu Dhabi has been successfully offering its services for 26 years in district, shopping malls, and exhibition centers, which in addition to its lush gardens and a private beach make’s it an ideal destination for business travellers and tourists.

The hotel maintains the beautifully appointed, newly refurbished 229 rooms & suites, with either sea view or city, providing superior services. Ranging from standard rooms and suites, all include several amenities and facilities for the convenience and comfort of the quest. Moreover, the hotel offers 68 rooms and suites in its La Residence.

On of the main attractions of the hotel which lies in its exclusive scenic gardens with picturesque walkways, surrounded by its unique mix of 15 restaurant and bars, which represent various cuisines from around the world. The Meridien Villages Abu Dhabi also holds many events throughout the year, some of which are Ramadan Festival, October fest, Jazz, Easter, Christmas, New Year Carnival and many more.
