dubai customs successfully conclude seminars on intellectual property rights for women

The seminars on their last day witnessed a rewarding ceremony

Dubai Customs in cooperation with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department successfully concluded the series of educational seminars on intellectual property rights (IPR) protection organized by.

The seminars were attended by women from associations in Dubai and the entire country.
More than 250 women from the diplomatic corps, business community, charitable field, educational institutes, and media outlets took part in these seminars.

Dubai Customs, on the last day of the seminars, rewarded the participants.
The participating organizations were also rewarded for their valuable contribution to the event.

Dubai Customs also rewarded Mrs. Iman Ismail Abdullah, head of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities League, for her efforts in making this event a success.

By organizing these seminars, Dubai Customs is firmly determined to use all available methods to fight counterfeiting, piracy and smuggling, through raising awareness among women.
This awareness will be an efficient method in urging consumers to avoid buying and using the fake products, especially when they realize the harmful effect of these products on their safety and well-being and fostering a  young community who is aware of dangers.

These series of seminars, organized for the first time in Dubai, came in the framework of the preparations for the Fourth Global Congress on Combating Counterfeiting and Piracy which will be organized in Dubai next February. The intellectual property rights seminars accompanied the comprehensive media campaign launched by Dubai Customs to raise awareness on the harmful effects of counterfeit goods.
