Dubai Chamber donates hi-tech equipment

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the Chamber presents used audio/visual equipment worth Dh500,000 to the Emirates Scientific Club

Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry recently donated used audio/visual equipment valued at Dh 500,000 to the Emirates Scientific Club. The donation came in line with the Chamber’s Corporate Social Responsibility that is constantly propagated by its initiative of the Center for Responsible Business (CRB).

Said HE Eng Hamad Buamim, “Dubai Chamber is always on the look out for serving the society under its strategy stressing on Corporate Social Responsibility and this time we chose to donate the Chamber’s used audio/visual equipment worth half a million dirhams to the Emirates Scientific Club. I am happy that this donation will go a long way in providing training courses to the national youth while also educating and encouraging them to acquire high tech knowledge that will give them competitive edge in the job market.”

Formed by Dubai Chamber in 2004, the Centre for Responsible Business (formerly known as the Dubai Ethics Resource Centre) is a hub of expertise in Corporate Social Responsibility whose international team of experts assist Dubai businesses in applying responsible practices that enhance performance and competitive advantage while the Centre makes provision of research, training, assessments, certification, programmes, events and advisory services that cover all aspects of CSR.

• Established in 1965, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry is a private non-profit organization, whose mission is to represent, support and protect the interests of the business community in Dubai, by creating a favorable business environment; supporting the development of business; and by promoting Dubai as an international business hub.
