DHL Express Saudi Arabia today announced the appointment of a National Marketing Manager for The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), further consolidating the company’s position as the region’s leading express freight provider.

Ali Thabet will lead a specialized, KSA focused marketing team, to develop and implement a strategy aimed at enhancing DHL’s unique position as a one stop, multi-modal transportation network across the Middle East.

“Working for a global super brand such as DHL is an extremely exciting journey. I will be concentrating on setting strategies that not only reinforce  DHL’s  brand values, but also target new core audiences with bespoke services and solutions,” Thabet explained.

Commenting on the new appointment, Nour Suliman, DHL Express Country Manager, Saudi Arabia, said: "We are experiencing an exciting period of continuous business growth in KSA and the company is expanding in line with evolving market demand. I am confident that Thabet, with his extensive experience in marketing express freight, will contribute considerably to the company's future success by further raising our profile in the Kingdom.”

Prior to this appointment, Ali Thabet has spent 15 years in the industry and has operated in many business roles, and within culturally diverse environments. Having developed strategies for several well known global brands, Thabet is well placed to drive the KSA marketing effort for the global express freight leader.

“This is an exciting and challenging opportunity,” said Thabet. “DHL Express is highly customer focused and this will continue to be fundamental to its marketing policies. The marketing efforts will be consistent with the company’s global expansion plans, that aim at strengthening its position in the express freight  business in KSA, the region, and globally,” said Thabet.

The new senior appointment further consolidates DHL’s position as market leader in the Middle East, where the company has been offering world-class express freight services to customers for over 30 years.

DHL is the global market leader of the international express and logistics industry specializing in providing innovative and customized solutions from a single source.
