Malek Sultan Al Malek, Executive Director of Dubai Internet City said: "As Dubai Internet City continues to stand as a major driving force behind the region's ICT industry, it is important for us to continuously support our business partners. We are delighted that FVC is launching its Technology Briefing centre at DIC. FVC's presence in the zone and opening of the briefing centre offers great value to its vendors and technologies. We look forward to seeing successful new projects from FVC in the future."

The Executive Briefing Centre features Polycom's top of the range RPX Immersive Telepresence systems. The two rooms - one for 8 persons and one for 4 - allow users to experience the truly immersive telepresence experience that only Polycom can deliver. This is part of Polycom's 'Going Green' initiative, to help organizations reduce their carbon footprint while increasing communications cost effectively.

The Technology Preview Centre is designed to showcase solutions, conduct proof of concept, benchmarking and conduct hands-on workshops. The products being demonstrated here include Polycom Infrastructure solutions, TippingPoint Intrusion Prevention Systems, Google Search Appliance, Nokia Firewall, Barracuda Web Filter and Spam filter, Packeteer PacketShaper WAN optimization solution, Proxim WiFi solution, Polycom IP Phones, Digium SwitchVox soft switch, VegaStream VoIP Gateway and Packet Design Route Analysis solution.

"We have been expanding our product portfolio to offer our channel partners and enterprise customers complete solutions from Rich Media to VoIP as well as networking and security," said K.S. "This new centre will allow our partners and their customers to experience the complete range of solutions we now offer including the top of the range Polycom's RPX Immersive Telepresence solutions."

In addition to briefings, FVC has scheduled workshops for its partners at the Technology Briefing Centre and pre-scheduled TechCafes for each of the various vendors and technologies.

The Technical Briefing Centre is part of FVC's planned investment in resources to support its growing business in the region. FVC has seen a 60% increase in revenue in 2007 over 2006 and expects to see similar growth in 2008. Over the past year, it has opened an office in Morocco increasing its direct presence to five countries in the MENA region. The company has also expanded its team with in-country technical, sales, administration, logistics and marketing resources in each office.
