HP Middle East appoints first Egypt and Levant PSG Country Manager

HP Middle East today announced the appointment of Rania Mattar as the Egypt and Levant Personal Systems Group (PSG) Country Manager starting immediately. This is a completely new role in HP’s structure which aims to cover the region with a much stronger impact.

Based in Cairo, Rania will focus on growing the PSG business throughout Egypt and Levant and promoting the HP brand, as well as focusing on growing the existing HP channel and expanding new offerings to new customer segments, in particular for the younger generation.

Rania holds over six years of experience at HP, most recently as Enterprise Server and Storage lead in Egypt and working as an Account Manager for Imaging and Printing Group. Previously she has worked at Intel as Channel Sales Manager and Redington as Country Manager.

About Rania’s appointment, Serdar Urcar, General Manager for PSG, HP Middle East, commented: “Rania has over 10 years in the Technology and Channel market, with that she brings exceptional knowledge and growth success to HP. This is the first time we have introduced a Country Manager for Egypt and Levant, signifying our commitment to these countries and our determination to meet our customers and partners ever changing needs and requirements. As a company which has Diversity as one of the corporate values, I’m convinced that Rania will add a lot to the quality of our Management Team as a working Arab woman.”

“I am delighted to continue my work at HP, and am looking forward to this new and exciting challenge as the first Country Manger. Over the next six months, I will be heavily involved with all key partners and will be working towards making HP PSG even stronger in the Levant region.”
