speaks about “Public Diplomacy, a New Tool for Dubai”

The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Communication at The American University in Dubai will kick off its academic events for the current Fall semester with a lecture entitled, “Public Diplomacy, a New Tool for Dubai,” to be delivered by Dr. Ernest J. Wilson III, Dean and Walther H. Annenberg Chair in Communication, at the university of southern California; the institution with which AUD is collaborating.
The lecture will take place on Tuesday, September 16th, 2008, at 11:30a.m., on the AUD campus. Among the attendees will be Mr. Ali M. Jaber, Dean of The MBR School of Communication, and AUD faculty, administrative bodies and students, as well as prominent dignitaries from the media sector in the region.
It is worth mentioning that a delegation from The University of Southern California is on a visit to AUD, where Dr. Wilson III, accompanied by Dr. Carola Weil, Associate Dean for Planning and Strategic Initiatives at the USC Annenberg School for Communication, and Professor Philip Seib, Professor at the USC Annenberg School of Journalism, met yesterday with Dr. Lance de Masi, AUD’s President. They discussed the academic collaboration between the USC and AUD that is embodied in the establishment of The MBR School of Communication at AUD. The delegation then toured the different facilities and labs on campus, and had the chance to interact with the faculty body of the recently inaugurated MBR School of Communication.
