Singapore Continues To Be A Major Medical Destination for GCC Medical Travellers
Posted: 01-11-2008 , 15:08 GMT

Singapore will be marking its presence as a leading healthcare destination at this year’s inaugural Healthcare Travel Exhibition and Congress (HTEC), attracting more GCC patients to visit the city-state for its first-class medical services.

World-renowned for its offering of premium healthcare services, Singapore has become an increasingly popular destination for medical tourists from the Gulf, many of whom head to the city-state for its advanced facilities, top medical specialists, quality treatment and Arab-friendly environment.

SingaporeMedicine will be participating as a Platinum Sponsor and the largest exhibitor at the HTEC event, which will take place at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai from 2 to 4 November 2008. At the SingaporeMedicine pavilion, there will be representatives from leading Singaporean healthcare providers including National Healthcare Group, Singapore Health Services and ParkwayHealth. Key Singaporean figures will also be speaking at several conferences taking place during the exhibition, with topics ranging from global healthcare marketing to healthcare travel.

“The Middle East is a key market for SingaporeMedicine and by building our presence in the region, we hope to raise the level of awareness of our services to patients, doctors, and medical tourists looking for first-rate healthcare,” said Dr Jason Yap, Director of Healthcare Services, Singapore Tourism Board.

The Healthcare Travel Exhibition and Congress has selected Singapore as the next host country for the exhibition, taking place from 9 to 11 June 2009 at the Fairmont Hotel.
