UAE Has Seen Remarkable Progress Under His Highness Sheikh Khalifa’s Leadership,”
Posted: 05-11-2009 , 13:33 GMT

The United Arab Emirates has witnessed enormous growth and remarkable development during the past five years, guided by the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Under his steady hand, the nation has continued its progress forward across all spheres of national life – whether social, cultural, economic or spiritual.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa shares a strong brotherly relationship with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the Members of the UAE Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates.

Blessed by this unity, the economy has continued to strengthen and diversify in significant ways that are not only generating benefits today, but will serve the interests of our future generations. The numerous accomplishments that this nation has registered both at home and on the international stage have made it a model for many around the region and the world, as well as a land of opportunity for its citizens and residents.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s devotion to the federation, with the enormous benefits it has brought to all its citizens, is reflected in the tremendous strength of our union today. And so it is with great pleasure that I welcome the wise decision of Their Highnesses, the Federal Supreme Council members and Rulers of the Emirates, to re-elect His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed as UAE President.
