Yemeni boysClashes between Yemeni security forces and protesters in the city of Aden resulted in at least three dead and over 30 others wounded, police conveyed. "Three people were killed and 30 others wounded when the security forces intervened to disperse a demonstration," a police official was quoted as saying by AFP on Thursday.

According to eyewitnesses, police opened fire on the demonstrators and detained some 130 of them.

The riots come one day before Yemen celebrates the Unification Day (May 22nd.) South Yemen was united 19 years ago with North Yemen to form the current republic. However, the residents of the south claim they have been suffering from discrimination and poor economic conditions.
