Gaddafi slams Barak Obama

Moamer GaddafiLibyan leader Moamer Gaddafi slammed US Democratic presidential candidate Barak Obama for his support of Israel and described him as "ignorant of international politics," media reports said Thursday. Comments made by the "Kenyan-American Obama" about Jerusalem and his support for Israel reflect his ignorance of international politics and the logic of the Middle East conflict, Gaddafi was quoted as saying by the DPA.

He made the remarks in an address to thousands of Libyans on Wednesday on the 38th anniversary of the withdrawal of US troops from Libya. Obama may be driven by an "inferiority complex" stemming from the fact that he is black, Gaddafi said, adding that if Obama is elected he may behave "worse than whites." "This will be a tragedy," Gaddafi said. "We tell him to be proud of himself as a black and feel that all Africa is behind him because if he sticks to this inferiority complex he will have a worse foreign policy than the whites had in the past."
