The hijackers of a Sudanese plane forced to land in to Libya have surrendered, Libyan officials said Wednesday. The 95 passengers on board the Sun Air Boeing 737 had earlier been released but the crew were being detained.
Earlier in the day, 
negotiations held between Libyan authorities and the hijackers. "The negotiations between the Libyan negotiator and the hijacker have started," said Mortada Hassan, executive manager of Sun Air.
The hijackers agreed to free women and children of allow provisions on board, the JANA news agency reported later.
"At the moment there is no information on why the man hijacked the plane. The only demands we know about are for food and fuel and to allow the plane to fly to France," the airline's manager added. Sudan has demanded that Libya extradite the hijackers.
