Producer Adel Ma’touq has refused to accuse his proclaimed wife Lebanese singer Suzan Tamim of attempting to assassinate him. An anonymous person had shot three bullets at Adel’s car as he was passing through one of the streets in Lebanon, but luckily he was not injured.
According to the Egyptian based weekly, Al Nogoom, Adel stressed in a police report that he cannot accuse Suzan of shooting at him because he did not see who made the shots, adding that he does not believe it is in Suzan’s nature to kill.
The police had wanted Suzan for questioning to see if she had anything with the attempted murder of Adel due to the problems that exist between her and Adel over their alleged marriage. Recently the Egyptian Interpol had arrested Suzan after a request was sent by the Lebanese Interpol. Adel had filed a lawsuit accusing her of stealing 350 US dollars and fleeing to Egypt.
Adel stressed that he is determined to have Suzan prosecuted and even detained. Adel has been haunting Suzan for almost a year, the main reason being that Suzan had broken a contract between them. Adel, who owns a production company is determined to have Suzan pay for breaking the contract and has been trying to stop all her entertainment activities.
Adel also claimed that Suzan is legally married to him and he has the right to prohibit her from leaving Lebanon. Adel revealed that he owns legal documents that prove their marriage and insists on taking actions against the singer who has been running away from him.
Suzan denied the accusation in front of the Egyptian police and said that Ma'touq was only her business manager and not her husband. The Egyptian Interpol is currently studying the case and will decide later whether to hand her in to the Lebanese police or not. – Albawaba.com
