Haifa Wahbi attempts to resolve disputes with Rotana
Posted: 06-01-2005 , 10:46 GMT

Despite constant rumors of disputes between Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi and her production company Rotana, the singer has been holding several sessions with the haifacompany to discuss the strong possibility of renewing her contract. Haifa’s current contract with Rotana, which produced two albums for the singer so far, is scheduled to end this month.

According to the London based Elaph, Haifa revealed that no definite agreement has been reached so far, but negotiations are going in the right direction. In her latest album “Bidi Eish” (I Want to Live), Haifa worked with a number of prominent Lebanese composers and had spent endless hours taking singing lessons to improve her performance.

Haifa has revealed that she will be holding three concerts on New Years Eve, the first at Castel Club alongside rising Lebanese singer Milhim Zein, the second alongside Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama and Egyptian singer Shireen Abdul Wahab, and finally the third will be alongside prominent Lebanese singer George Wassouf at the Regency Palace hotel in Beirut.

Haifa stressed that it is a great honor for her to sing alongside George and added that he is truly a wonderful singer and confident of his talent. She added that his confident is shown in the fact that he does not mind Haifa ending his performance.
