Despite the success his latest film “Halet Hope” (A Case of Love), which achieved the highest profits during the summer film season, Egyptian singer/actor Tamer Husni announced that he does not intend on accepting any new film offers. Tamer has denied circulating rumors that he is preparing for a new film, stressing that the news is a mere lie and that he is satisfied with the success of “Halet Hub” for now.
According to the London based Elaph, Tamer revealed that he was surprised the film witnessed such success being released at such a critical period. The singer added that he had feared the film would not bring in any profits due to the fact that the Cairo Film Festival was taking place and most people had focused their interests there.
Tamer is considered to be the brains behind the story of “Halet Hub” as he was the one who came up with the idea, being very similar to his personal life’s story. Tamer had spent over 20 years searching for his father after finally finding him, making this incident the heart of the film, but switching the role of a lost father to that of a lost brother.
Tamer revealed that in the meantime he will devote all his time to his singing career and working on his upcoming album. He has already recorded two songs for the new album, and is choosing more to include.
