Ahmad Al Sakka takes Alissa to the cinema
Posted: 08-01-2005 , 12:43 GMT
Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Sakka has decided on March 2005 to be the date for shooting the first scenes of his upcoming film. Ahmad revealed that he has nominated Lebanese singer Alissa to costar in the film, which scenes will be shot between Egypt and the United States of America.

The film will mark Alissa’s debut in the acting world and Ahmad has stressed that he will not reveal any details wanting it to be a surprise to all his fans. The actor noted that he scheduled the shooting to begin in March due to the fact that he must complete his current film “Al Hares” (The Guard), which will be filmed mostly in Morocco.

Ahmad revealed that another reason for choosing March is that by that time Alissa would have completed all her entertainment obligations and will be able to free herself completely for the film. The singer gave her acceptance after countless doubts fearing that entering the cinema may reflect negatively on her singing career.

Al Sakka has announced his entrance into the world of television commercials by signing with one of the international food production companies. The actor has recently completed shooting his first TV commercial between Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, which lasted for three days.

In the commercial Ahmad will act as an action hero, as is the case with most films he takes part in. The commercial was directed by an Italian director, who also directed action scenes in Ahmad's film "Tito".

Recently, Ahmad Al Sakka apologized for not being able to accept his nomination in a clip for Alissa due to the fact that he is preoccupied with filming “Al Haris”. Actor Karim Abdul Aziz had also turned down the offer since he has not completed shooting the scenes for his new movie “Abu Ali”.
