Marilyn Monroe causes disputes between Yusra and Laila Elwi
Posted: 24-01-2005 , 10:09 GMT

The disputes that had once occurred between prominent Egyptian actresses Yusra and Laila Elwi have returned to the surface this time over a new film about the life of American legend and queen of seduction Marilyn Monroe. The producing company of the film had at first nominated Egyptian actress Nelly, but after four months of preparations she was shocked when notified that the film, that Laila and Yusra are arguing about, has been postponed. g

The film revolves around the life of the seduction star Marilyn starting from her early childhood up to when she became famous. Events will also include the different men that entered her life and will end with her mysterious death.

The previous dispute between Laila and Yusra has finally come to an end after the interference of close contacts. The two actresses had been arguing endlessly on whose Ramadan television drama series should be aired on the Egyptian television network.

The dispute between the two actresses began before Ramadan when the Egyptian television announced that it will air Yusra's drama and not Laila's. At this point Laila went into a rage and refused to film the remaining scenes of her drama. Sources reveal that Laila was informed that Yusra had used her contacts to have her drama aired instead of Laila's.

Officials at the Egyptian Broadcasting Company had announced that they will not allow the screening of Egyptian actresses Laila Elwi and Yusra's Ramadan drama series from airing on their local channels during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. The decision has tremendously affected the actresses due to the fact that it means the success of their new works will be jeopardized. The actress have demanded an investigation into the matter to see why such a drastic decision was made without any prior notice

I think that Yusra would be a better Marlin Monroe, because she is a bit thin like her and very pretty, and the whiteness and blondness goes well, also Yusra is a much better actress than Laila Elwi. I mean come on, "Leqa Ala Hawa" was a much more of a major success than "Bint Min Shubra". Also, same thing the year before "Malak Rouhi" had more of a success than "Taala Nihlm Be Borka" (I think). Bye! Anyways, Good Luck to Both.
