The mayor of Marrakech in Morocco has announced that Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram will not be permitted to hold any future concerts in the city to avoid the reoccurrence of any incidents that took place during her performance last month. 
Incidents of sexual harassment, theft, excessive alcohol consumption resulting in violence, in addition to a number of reported cases of people fainting; all took place during the concert.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, lawsuits were filed by several attendees who were subjected to physical and sexual assaults. An Islamist party fired an attack against Nancy claiming that she is responsible for the breakout of chaos in a city that is otherwise secure and peaceful.
Nancy recently held her first concert in Morocco drawing an audience of over 100 thousand. The singer was overwhelmed by the massive crowd who came from all over Morocco to watch her in action.
Before the concert, Nancy held a press conference in which she answered questions with complete honesty. The singer denied that she undergoes plastic surgeries on a yearly basis, stating she had undergone surgery only once, which in her opinion is enough.
Nancy also defended her performance style, stating simplicity is part of her character which is why she sings simple songs. Nancy admitted that she can never compare herself to the great Egyptian legend Umm Kalthoum and would never attempt to sing like her.
Nancy also revealed that her goal is not international stardom and that she is satisfied with her fans around the Arab world. She added that finding success among Arabs has provided all the gratitude that she needs.
