Prominent Syrian singer Asalah Nasri will announce her engagement to director Tareq Al Arian in the near future. asalah

Tareq welcomed Asalah at the airport upon her return from Dubai where she maintains a residence, in addition to her home in Egypt.

Asalah’s public relations office has launched a website and issued a press release, distributed to Arab media, to publicly deny all allegations made by her ex-husband Aiman Al Thahabi.

Aiman accused Asalah of being a “traitor” and a ruthless woman. He also accused her of being “selfish” and “an unfit mother,” describing her as the type of person who is willing to desert all those that matter in her life for the sake of her freedom.

Aiman has tried numerous times to win back Asalah’s love, attacking her viciously after she appeared with Al Arian.

Asalah has been granted Bahraini citizenship by Bahraini King Hamad Bin Issa Al Khalifa a few days after she gave a spectacular performance in the operetta "Love and Loyalty" in celebration of Bahrain’s Independence Day.

King Hamad Bin Issa Al Khalifa attended Asalah’s concert and thanked her personally for being part of his country’s celebration.

The singer was recently in Beirut to film a new music video for the song "Asfa" (Sorry) under the direction of Salim Turk from Lebanon.

The story of the clip revolves around a woman, played by Asalah, whose husband has betrayed her. She discovers that he is having an affair with another woman, catching him red handed in bed with his mistress on the couple’s wedding anniversary.

The woman leaves her husband peacefully, deciding it is not worth it to confront him.
