After great efforts to convince the famous singer George Wafoof to sing at the “Jordan Festival,” he finally agreed. The Art Association in Jordan and Syria urged many music artists to boycott the festival because Jordan has normalized relations with Israel, and the production company responsible for the festival was also responsible for a celebration for Israel’s independence. The festival was a great success.

 According to the London daily Elaph, Al Wasoof decided to come on Tuesday, just hours before his performance. Despite the efforts to ruin the festival’s reputation, seats were sold out, and fans called out Al Wasoof’s name.

Lebanese artist Elissa and Jordanian singer Omar Al Abdullat sang for only a short period to allow time for Al Wasoof’s performance.
