Egyptian actor Muhammad Hunaidi has signed a contract to star in a new radio drama series called “Majnon Laila” (Laila Crazy) that will be aired during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. The new radio series will discuss the famous love story between “Qais and Laila Al Ameryeh,” yet it will be done as a modern comedy.

 According to the Qatari daily Al Raya, the great Egyptian actors Yusra and Izat Abu Oof will also star in the new radio series.  Surprisingly, Yusra will be paid more than Hunaidi. Yusra signed a contract stating that she will be paid 270,000 Egyptian pounds for her role, while Izat Abu Oof will only be paid 90,000.  Hunaidi will be paid 210,000 Egyptian pounds.
