Various Arab capitals witnessed great musical events for the celebration of welcoming the New Year 2009 with a positive outlook for the future.
According to the London daily Elaph, in Lebanon there was a great number of musical events starting with Egyptian artist Shireen Abed Al Wahab where she sang on New Year’s eve at “Al Biyal” center accompanied by the artist Ayman Zabib. 
The famous Lebanese artist Najwa Karam sang at “Al Habtour” hotel with the great artist George Wasoof and Lebanese artist Melhim Zain.
Lebanese artist Faris Karam hosted two live concerts in Lebanon to celebrate the New Year’s with his Lebanese fans. Famous Lebanese artist Nawal al Zoghbi was at “Puplis Palace” hotel accompanied by the artists Ayman Zabib and Basem Faghali.
The Egyptian artist Shireen Abed AL Wahab hosted another concert in Lebanon at the Regency Palace with the Lebanese artists Melhim Zain and Zain al Omar.
On a similar note, famous Egyptian superstar Amer Diab sang in Dubai at the “Bostan” (The Garden) hotel with the Lebanese artist Amal Hijazi. Famous Lebanese superstar Asi Hilani was at the Intercontinental City Star Hotel in Cairo. As for the Lebanese artist Rola Saed, she hosted a New Year’s concert in Amman Jordan at Lo Royal Hotel.
