Nine new albums are scheduled for release at the beginning of the new year. The first one on the list is an album for the famous Egyptian superstar Amr Diab where he’ll be working with Rotana on it, yet no name has been set for it.
Diab has already chosen and finished recording all ten songs on the album which are; “Bithebni” (She Loves Me), “Malak” (Angel), “Fakrinak” (We Thought You Were), “Hawel Tensani” (Try to Forget Me), “Ah Min El Foraa” (Departure Is Hurtful), “Ya Reet Sinak Yezeed Sanateen” (I Wish You Age Two More Years), “Tamini” (Assure Me) and “Awdeti Albi” (My Heart Got Used To). Diab is scheduled to film two songs from the new album and the wage the singer will receive on the new contract between Diab and Rotana has not been revealed yet.
The second name on the list is Egyptian artist Shireen Abed Al Wahab, where she is putting the last touches on her new album. Shireen has already chosen a name for the new album “Akhiran Etjarait” (Finally Got the Courage), which includes ten different songs. Shireen worked with a number of great poets like Nader Abdullah, Hani Abed Al Karim, Amir Taymah, Muhammad Rifaie and Jamal Kholi. As for the composers Shireen worked with Walid Saed, Tamer Ali and Tamer Ashour. Shireen worked with the music distributers Muhammad Mustafa, Tim and Fahed. Shireen also made an agreement with the cinema director Sandra Nash’at to film a video clip for one of the songs from the new album.
According to the London daily Elaph, Angham is another famous Egyptian artist on the list to have a new album released for the New Year and she has the temporary name “Sa’aat” (Hours) just for now. Angham put the last touches on the new album and she worked with a number of well-known poets and composers like Baha Al Deen Muhammad, Amir Taymah, Jamal Bakheet, Amar Al Shiraiy, Tamer Ali, Muhammad Al Nadi and Muhammad Yehya. Angham announced that she’ll be filming more than one song in the form a video clip. She will be working with the director Ahmad Al Mahdi.
Rubi is also another Egyptian artist that will be releasing a new album for the New Year which will be called “Ya Al Rimoosh” (Eye Lashes). The new album is released around the same time that her new cinema film “Al Waed” (The Date), where she’ll be starring with the famous Egyptian actor Mahmoud Yasin.
The New Year also will be seeing new albums for artist Ali Al Hajar, Janat and Sami Yousif who’s album will include 10 different songs. There are three songs done in Arabic and the rest in English.
