Pips and Stones

You will need:

·        Different pips and stones (Apple, grape, orange or lemon pips, Peach or

·        avocado stones…etc)

·        Flowerpots with drip trays

·        Special compost for young plants

·        Jar full of warm water

·        Water

·        Plastic bags

·        Ties for plastic bags

·        Labels

·        Pen

 

Directions:

·        Soak big stones in a jar of warm water for 24 hours.

·        Fill the flowerpots with compost to about 1cm down from the top of the pot.

·        Lightly water the compost.

·        If you are planting pips, push each one about 1cm deep into the compost.

·        If you are planting stones, push them into the compost with their pointed end sticking out.

·        Label each flowerpot.

·        Place each flowerpot in a plastic bag.

·        Tie the plastic bags and place the flowerpots in a dark warm place.

·        Check your flowerpots everyday.

·        As soon as you see a shoot, take off the plastic bags and move your flowerpots into the light.

·        Water the compost enough to keep it moist.

 

Note: Read the back of seed packets to find out the best time to plant them.
