It is almost impossible to imagine how big the universe is! We do know that there are billions of galaxies, and in each galaxy there are billions of stars. In our galaxy, the Milky Way, there are probably millions of stars the same size, temperature and age as our Sun. Do any of those stars have a Solar system like ours?

Compared to the size of stars, planets are so small. So far we have managed to find some planets, but scientists believe there must be millions of them.

Humans, have placed messages from Earth on board spacecrafts, and sent them to the stars. Will anybody reply? We have also been searching the skies for radio signals from extraterrestrial life since 1960. Will we hear anything? Time will tell!
