Syria's State Higher Security Court on Thursday sentenced to death Ahmad Shlash Hassan and Izzo al-Hussein, who committed the "act of terrorism" in the Mezza neighborhood of Damascus last April. 
According to SANA, the Court also sentenced other 20 people to terms ranging from one year in prison to life imprisonment with hard labor in addition to financial fines for some of them.
The other sentenced are: Azzam al-Nahar- life imprisonment with hard labor; Abdul Basset Awad Hassida- life imprisonment with hard labor; Ahmad Abdullah Abdullah – 20 years with hard labor; Mohammad Ali al-Nahar- 12 years with hard labor and a 125,000 Syrian- Pound fine; Darwish Ahmad al-Hassan- 10 years with hard labor and a 125,000-Syrian Pound fine; Mohammad Hussein Shaker Suleiman- 8 years with hard labor and a 125,000- Syrian-Pound fine; Anas Hussein al-Hassani and Ziad Hassan al-Mutlaq: 7 years with hard labor for each; Samer Mohammad Heidar- 6 years with hard labor and a 125,000- Syrian-Pound fine; Hassan Mirie Sha’aban- 5 years with hard labor and a 39-000 Syrian-Pound fine; Abdul Wahab Mahmoud Khisha and Mohammad Suleiman Salama: 4 years with hard labor for each; Mohammad Khaled Samieh- 3 years with hard labor; Maher Muhiddin Juma’a, Walid Khaled al-Assa’ad and Bassel Ahmad al-Akrad: Two years with hard labor for each; Mohammad Hussein al-Younis, Riad Jamil al-Tawil, Nasser Shihada and Ibrahim Murad: One year in prison for each.
The Court also ruled that the "criminals" be stripped of their civil rights, and all weapons, cars and money as well as the houses they used for this "terrorist act be confiscated."
The bombing attack took place in the Damascus district of Mezza on April 27, killing two people- a policeman and a teacher- and wounding eight others as well inflicting material damages on several buildings, properties and cars in the area.
