Iranian veterans of the 1979 seizure of hostages at the American embassy in Tehran on Thursday denied claims that President-elect Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had part in the siege. This came after at least fiev US hostages, who were held for over a year by student followers of revolutionary leader Ayatullah Khomeini said they were sure Ahmadinejad was a key player in the abduction.
"Mr Ahmadinejad was never one of students following the path of the imam that took the spy den. He was never there," said Mohsen Mirdamadi, a former hostage-taker who went on to become a member of parliament. "Those who say he was one of the students are making a mistake. Even last night I was shown a picture but the person in the picture had little resemblance to him" Abbas Abdi, who like Mirdamadi is regarded as one of the instigators of the embassy seizure, also denied that Ahmadinejad had anything to do with the operation, AFP reported. © 2005 Al Bawaba (www.albawaba.com) |

Pres-Elect of Iran |

Why would we be surprised if the new president of Iran was involved in a hostile act toward Americans? Is this really news?
If Iran truly feels the need to convince the world that he is not the same person, then why don't they just present the person who IS pictured? I suspect Iran would be proud, rather than ashamed, if this is the same man.
Our world will continue to be a place of hatred and destruction until men of good character all over the world stand up and lead their people toward peace and prosperity.
Thanks for letting me express my opinion, and may God bless you. |

So far the institutional racist western media HAVE NOT produced any conclusive proff. Even MI6 agents such John Simpson of BBC joined the bandwagon but suddenly ARCHIVES ARE LOST.
If Bush and Blair are Liars so others!

they can not produce proof. The man in the picture standing next to a hostage is not ahmadinejad...he later died in a car crash...and the man to the right of the hostage fought against Saddam's invasion of Iran and was killed in the war. I hate to ruin the beautiful theory concocted by the"institutional racist" western media. |

It's the zionist media, making these provacative baseless news as if the president elect was involved in the hostage taking of 1979. Most Iranian are of average hights, slim, larger eyes and beard. The Zionists want to use United States against Iran as they are doing it for years. Don't listen to them but figure out who are the reporters? The zionists. |

After CIA with the help of thier Iranian thugs overthrew Mosaddegh's government, and returned Shah to Iran, Iranian National Oil company became just a name on the paper. Shah gave the "right to" and the "management" of Iranian oil to a consortium of western giant oil companies. For the next two decades, this consortium sold more than 24 billion barrles of Iranian oil for the paltry price of $1.80 per barrel. Overthrow of Mosaddegh was the most lucrative CIA operation in its history. They have never been able to facilitate such a loot again. |
