A Hizbullah rocket attack on the northern town of Nazareth killed two Israeli Arabs on Wednesday afternoon. Another 12 people sustained light injuries in the attack, and were evacuated to the Italian Hospital in the biggest Arab city in the Galilee.

The two were killed by a direct hit from a rocket, reports said. The two victims were aged 5 and 10.

Katyushas also hit Nahariya in the late afternoon. Some 70 Katyushas were fired at Israel within the space of an hour.

Earlier Wednesday, two rockets hit Haifa and others fell in the Western Galilee.

Meanwhile,  a Syrian information source strongly denied as "totally baseless and unfounded" a statement by an Israeli army spokesman that Israeli warplanes shelled trucks traveling from Syria towards Lebanon carrying weapons and ammunitions for Hizbullah.

According to SANA, the source pointed out that the missile which was fired by Israeli warplanes targeted the UAE medical aid convoy which was heading for Lebanon through the Syrian borders, asserting that the caravan was carrying medical materials and medicines and a number of ambulances in addition to a track coming from Lebanon to Damascus and happened to be in the place at the time of attack.

The source stressed that such Israeli repeated statement aims at creating pretexts to justify its "brutal crimes" perpetrated against the innocent civilians in Lebanon and to prevent humanitarian aid from reaching the Lebanese people.
